To celebrate "National French Fry Day" on July 13, McDonald's is giving away free fries this week.
On Thursday, people can use the McDonald's app to order free fries of any size.

The deal doesn't require you to buy anything, but it's only good for one day and can only be used once per person.
Those who can't take advantage of the free deal can get a free medium fry every Friday when they spend at least $1.
Other places like Burger King, Jack in the Box, and Wendy's have joined in the past and are likely to do so again this year.
